Well this summer is not summer at all...!!! Before they got completely ruined I did get a few nice photos of some gorgeous roses in the garden. This is the old Bourbon rose Mme Isaac Periere, she drapes her scented loveliness along the trellis with a rich purple/black clematis. Sadly the roses are now brown and the clematis is full of white mildew, its so sad as I love to sit in this sunken garden in the summer sun and watch the fish in the canal pond.
