This is the Milan cathedral
And this is the Madonna that is on the top spire of the cathedral.
(can you tell that we still are in winter? I've made these photo yesterday... no one cloud! :) )
Although we no longer post our images here on this blog, we have continued to leave the photos for you to be inspired by.

M is for Magnificent Marzipan in Milano!
![]() |
| A little shop somewhere between the Duomo and the Last Supper. |
Update: It's the Freni's Pasticceria - Via Torino 1- Milano.
Via Torino is just near the Duomo; giving the back to the big door of the Duomo you walk till the end of the square and on your left there are Via Mazzini e Via Torino. Freni is the 3rd shop from the beginning of the street, on the left sidewalk. (Thanks Silvia for the information on the shop!)
M is for Mourning
In view of the interest in the film "The Kings Speech". A very fragile copy of the newspaper I found in a junk shop.

Mill
Here are some photos from the Pendleton Woollen Mill in Pendleton, Oregon. So few textiles are made in the United States these days that it's quite a treat to see the looms in action.

M is for Magnolia
Cornwall is famous for its spring flowering trees especially magnolias, camellias and rhododendrons. I took these photos in Burncoose Gardens near Falmouth in 2010.
But I realise that there are lots of 'M's in this part of Cornwall so I can't resist also giving you a photo of St Michaels Mount. We live only ten minutes drive from here and it is always an inspirational sight.

winter colours week
I know a lot of you have files full of photos. Poppytalk is running a series of Winter Colours Weeks. We have recently finished colours, but you might be interested in playing along on your own blog! You can find out about it here.
This week the Winter Colour for their challenge is red. You can see some of our own red photos here.
Some photos from one participant - Margaret Ooman (whose photos are worth looking at anytime!) She does a lot of macro photography.
and here is a red M photo -
M for Men Working ...or not as the case may be...
