After my January snowdrops and now this, you may think I’m flower obsessed. The truth is I’m always on the look out for harbingers of spring – and the second one I look for is the flowering of my cherry tree. It is a little late this year, but we spotted the first blossom at the weekend – although the bull finches had been showing that they were on the way for a while - by eating the buds…
I hope they have left enough for the usual spectacular display, but the first ones are the best.
