All I could think of when posed with this challenge was Morcambe & Wise singing the Alphabet Song - sorry if this allusion is lost on some, but it still makes me laugh probably 30 years later!
I had a new book for Christmas, Esprit de Famille by Audrey Fitzjohn and there are some cross-stitch alphabets in the back, so I had a play (bit rough-and-ready, I know, but I can't find my close-up specs!)
