monotone in fibre - Helen S

I'm back after an extended trip and finally got to work on the textiles again. This piece is worked in coloured threads with monotone translation in mind.



















As I'm experimenting with b&w photography at the moment I'm also training my eye to see tonal values more accurately so that I can make better compositions. This fabric piece has been translated in to three variations for this exercise, using different contrast and brightness values to bring out some differences.
