This is an idea for a piece of embroidery to be called ‘Black Work’ – although it may not  be in blackwork.

Taken from a newspaper photograph and manipulated using a program called ‘pxlr’.

I hope this doesn’t depress you too much – I feel the need to respond in some way to what is going on.
