A Chair of Gigantic Proportions

This Antoinette Hatfield building is one of many performing arts buildings in downtown Portland, Oregon. This chair sculpture is located there. It's very large and has both human and animal attributes.  You can climb up into it.

But don't miss circling it as the back is as funny as the front.

Details or Shadows?

I love when solid objects are somewhat translucent. This is the same sprig of leaves from two sides. The front is sharply colored and veined. The back, not so much. I love the detail on the top but the shadowing on the bottom one. Which do you prefer?

Back or Front?

Perhaps cheating a bit? My excuse is that I love this image of granddad and grandson on a sunny autumn day.

Back and Front

This image is called  "Not Back From The Front" - and is the Roll Of Honour from Ellingham Church in Norfolk, UK.  I picked it for the layers in and out of the glass, but mostly for the pun..

Opposites: Front/Back or Top/Bottom

And so it is October. The new prompt for the first part of the month is the Opposite Front and Back. Or if you wish, Top and Bottom.

Guildford, a town near us is proud of connections with Lewis Carrol. Last time I went I found this interesting sculpture of Alice Through the Looking Glass.
