Snowman

I know that it is summer, but I could not resist putting in this photo of me with a snowman taken while we were cross country skiing in Quebec last year.

Seedheads

We have been everywhere, but home, this summer.  To catch up, here are a few of the seedheads I have captured in the lense over several years.

Now that these are downloaded, I realized the topic was not seedheads, but "S".  It still works, so I will leave it.

Letter S

This is a very nice private schooler we saw drop anchor near our boat in the harbor last month.

The squirrel was just emerging from a bottle deposit section of a trash bin in Acadia National Park.

Seedheads

A visit to the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr last week resulted in lots of photos - but only two that began with 'S'!

Shibori

Tactile fabrics and wonderfully muted colours.

Steps and shadows

I love the way colour is used against white painted walls and the shadows formed by the steps and gantries.

S is for Sea, Surf, Sand etc.

When you live on the coast there are lots of things that begin with 'S'.

Sand:

Sand at sunset:

This one is sunset in Singapore:

Sand, sunset and a stream:

Surf and swells:

Stones on the beach:

Storms and spray:

I was drowned by a wave when taking this one!

And finally, streams that run down to the sea.
