I love when solid objects are somewhat translucent. This is the same sprig of leaves from two sides. The front is sharply colored and veined. The back, not so much. I love the detail on the top but the shadowing on the bottom one. Which do you prefer?
Although we no longer post our images here on this blog, we have continued to leave the photos for you to be inspired by.

October: The Process of Capturing Leaves and Changing Light
October means raking leaves and also embracing to the change in light. This October has been the most interesting to me because of the subdued light which unfortunately I have not been able to capture. The light seems to intensify the autumn colors.

October - season of fungi
Walking home with the Blackberrying Basket, I found this amazing fungus on a big oak tree - to give an idea of its majestic size, this is about 1/20th of the whole. The sunlight was making it weep in a most sinister fashion..

October
The prompt for the rest of the month is about the Month October. What comes to your mind when you think of October. Or what sorts of things does October mean to you.
This prompt will be up til the 1st of November. Please use the label October when you post.
For me, October is when our church usually has our Harvest Celebration. Schools and Churches in England have a Harvest Celebration around this time of the Autumn. However, it is not a set date like the American and Canadian Thanksgivings.
For quite a while now it has been my job to take the fruit and veg which people bring in and place them together for a display. To be honest it looks harder than it is! They are already amazing, so it it is actually great fun to see what it looks like at the end.
Here are 2 photos from the past...I forgot the camera this past weekend!
